After the acquisition of Raraul cheese factory from Campulung Moldovenesc in 2008, Albalact launched the Raraul brand and along with it, milk and cheese products produced according to Romanian recipes, which combine experience and tradition from Bucovina with modern quality and technology. The Raraul factory in Campulung Moldovenesc has a long tradition of cheese production and is the only one in the country accredited to export its products into the EU.
With the launch of Raraul dairy products, Albalact transforms a local brand into a national brand, with a new image and a new positioning concept on the market. Raraul stands for being natural, health, and beauty and addresses consumers who love hiking, the mountains, the flowers and everything that makes them feel alive. Raraul speaks about the most beautiful and special things from Bucovina, hence the association of the brand with the edelweiss. Raraul mountain is the edelweiss of Bucovina, and the Raraul brand becomes “the milk flower”.
