Albalact implemented the food safety management system according to FSSC 22000, certified by TÜV Thüringen in Germany. The certification covers ISO 22000:2005, ISO/TS 22002-1:2009 and additional requirements 22000. The purpose of implementing this system is to document the company’s policy and strategy in the field of food safety, to inform and instruct the internal consumer regarding the essential requirements, relationships and responsibilities concerning food safety. This system allows the company’s management to be in control of their products’ safety. The company is evaluated and re-certified every 2 years by TUV Thüringen auditors.

Albalact Factory from Alba and Raraul Factory from Campulung Moldovenesc have its own physical-chemical and microbiological testing laboratory and research facilities, where chemical engineers and microbiology specialists work.

Albalact also holds IFS (International Food Standard) certificate, an important certificate which provide the unitary evaluation of the private label suppliers system. This certificate is renewed every year.

Albalact also implemented ISO 9001:2008 system for the organizational processes management, together with the FIFO system for the products traceability.

Because it wants to provide a safe and appropriate environment for its employees, Albalact implemented the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment System OHSAS 18001:2008 in 2008.
